What would an ideal man look like? Tall, muscular, strong, handsome, courageous, ambitious, financially secure? Unfortunately, women put these at the very end of the checklist of the perfect man.
In a recent survey, 1,000 women between the ages of 21 and 54 said what the ‘perfect man’ means to them. What aspects of a life partner are most important to them.
The survey, conducted by the Opinion Research Corporation of Princeton, New Jersey, USA, found that women place more importance on several behavioral aspects of a man than on his physical aspects. Only 13 percent of women said that a man’s height, style, appearance, and muscular fit body are attractive to them. On the other hand, 66 percent of women said that they would like to have a man as their life partner who accepts them as they are, loves them for who they are, and loves them for who they are. 87 percent of women said that whether or not their life partner values or respects them is the most important thing to them.
These women talked about several characteristics of an ideal man. Various mental and behavioral aspects of a man have emerged, which define a man as an ideal man. Let’s quickly take a look at the checklist of a perfect man in the eyes of women.
1. Loyalty, kindness, morality, patience – these are the best qualities of a man and a human being. An ideal man respects women. He is ’emotionally available’ for his life partner.
2. In second place is ‘sense of humor’ or intelligence.
3. Gives priority to family. Spends time with his wife and children.
4. A perfect man is hardworking. Shares housework with his wife.
5. Provides maximum support to the new mother. He takes care of the baby as much as he can at night so that the new mother can sleep properly.
6. Can cook. Try new recipes.
7. Can control anger. Controls behavior, maintains emotional balance.
8. Listens attentively to his partner.
9. Wakes up early every day.
10. Makes his own bed.
11. Spends some time in the kitchen every day. This means making his own tea or coffee or being an expert in making breakfast or accompanying his wife in the kitchen when she is busy with work.
12. Keeps things clean and tidy. Likes to keep his home and office desk tidy.
13. Only 13 percent of women consider a man’s physical structure, style, height, whether he is handsome or not, whether he has muscles or not—these are important.
